2024 Ford Ranger Broken Arrow, OK

For the 2024 model year, Ford completely revamped the mid-size Ranger pickup truck, giving it a bolder front end inspired by the larger F-150. The American version of the Ranger is powered by the same turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine as the existing vehicle, and it will remain so till 2024. Ford sells the Ranger with a turbodiesel V-6 in various overseas countries. This year's selection includes a more potent twin-turbo gasoline-fired V-6 engine, and both are available with either rear- or four-wheel drive. The high-performance Ranger Raptor variation is what has us the most thrilled, but we review it separately. The 2017 Ranger is only available as a crew cab with four full-size doors, as opposed to the Ranger of the previous year, which was offered in two different body types. The inside has undergone significant changes, and now includes a sizable entertainment system that is vertically structured, similar to the one that is an option on higher-end Edge SUV models. The Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Toyota Tacoma, all of which are now riding high after recent redesigns, will present new competition for the 2024 Ranger when it goes on sale later this year.

The mid-range XLT is the model we'd recommend because it has a less plain appearance and more desirable features like 17-inch aluminum wheels, power-folding side mirrors, in-dash GPS, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a power outlet in the truck bed. It also has Ford's Co-Pilot360 suite of driver-support systems, which includes lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors. We'd also take into account the Technology package, which includes front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and adaptive cruise control.
