One of the most popular pickup trucks, the Ford F-150 is known for getting the job done in terms of transporting cargo, goods, and other heavy, large objects safely from point A to point B. To top it all off, it can seat either five or six people! There are many trim levels of the 2021 Ford F-150 to choose from.
XL (Regular 2021 Ford F-150)
The XL is the base trim of the F-150s. This 2021 F-150 offers a cabin that fits up to six people with the SuperCab option, a backup camera, and automatic high beams. These are standard features nowadays, though drivers that are looking to upgrade from an older truck could certainly enjoy these new safety perks.
XLT
The XLT is considered a premium XL with add-ons inside and out. The F-150 receives a Wi-Fi hotspot, SYNC 3 infotainment hub, and alloy wheels. The grille also comes with a distinct chrome and black design. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alerts are also present. If drivers are ordering new, they also have the option of getting vinyl seats for easy cleaning.
Lariat
For drivers with the money to spend, this is often the most recommended trim to get. Besides the XL and XLT's perks, the Lariat comes with a 2.7 EcoBoost V6 engine, dual-zone climate control, a larger touch screen, and leather seating. Drivers can also opt for heated seats and a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system upgrade.
King Ranch
The King Ranch has all the perks that come with the Lariat, though the trims from here on out only seat five. The heated seats also come standard, and the steering wheel will also be heated and made of leather. Ambient lighting is also present in the King Ranch, so owners can adjust the lighting inside the cabin to their liking if they need to.
Platinum
Cosmetically, the Platinum trim will have the most noticeable changes compared to the lower trims before it. For one, it offers chrome accents, large 20-inch wheels, and power deployable running boards to help enter and exit the truck. This trim also comes with a BoxLink cargo system, rain-detecting wipers, and LED fog lights. This trim also has an upgrade in fuel economy with 21 miles per gallon.
Limited
The Limited offers even larger wheels than the Platinum at 22 inches. Under the hood, the Limited has 450 horsepower, ideal for heavy loading and hauling jobs. Other additions with the Limited include a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and a double-panel sunroof.
Raptor
A trim unique from the others, the Raptor focuses more on performance and less on cosmetics, though it does retain the leather seats for comfort. Exclusive to this trim is the Terrain Management System so the truck automatically adjusts to the ground it drives on. Inside is a 3.5 EcoBoost High-Output V6 engine for unprecedented power and torque. Torque-On-Demand also allows the truck more handling and control under stressful situations.
Tremor
For drivers that want a truck that excels in off-road work or travel, the Tremor trim may serve them well. A shock system is installed for improved suspension when driving off-road. This trim also features 18-inch black alloy wheels with 33-inch tires and an EcoBoost V6 engine for power that rivals the Raptor. Adaptive cruise control also comes standard.
