The New 2024 Ford Ranger

One of the best parts about the new Ranger is that you can customize it to your heart's content and really make it your own! There are tons of configurations to choose from. For starters, you get to pick between several capable engines.

New for 2024, the Ranger gains an optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. It pumps out 315 horses and 400 lb-ft of torque. Of course, this is an available extra that costs a bit more. But don't worry, the trusty 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder with auto start-stop tech carries over, too. It's the standard engine on most trims.

For even more muscle, step up to the Ranger Raptor. This bad boy comes exclusively with a beefier 3.0L twin-turbo V6, making a class-leading 405 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. No matter which engine you choose, a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duties.

The Ranger also rolls on an upgraded "Built Ford Tough" chassis for 2024. It features outboard-mounted rear shocks to soak up bumps, along with a longer wheelbase that improves the approach angle. As for the cockpit, supple leather trim adorns the seats, steering wheel, and shifter. Both front chairs are heated and powered, with driver memory settings. Dual-zone automatic climate control and intelligent access with push-button start are standard as well. On the safety front, you get adaptive cruise control, enhanced active park assist, and front parking sensors.

Tech highlights include the grandest SYNC 4A system yet. It has a massive 12-inch touchscreen and equally large digital gauge cluster.
